Have you ever noticed how when everything seems to be going right and for once it seems like fate, or God, or bumper the magic space bee, or whatever is finally on your side for once, that is when the bottom decides to fall out? C'est la vie, no?
So my window is begining to narrow. I have only a few months now until I am supposed to winging my way to California to start over and finally be with my beautiful and loving girlfriend. But as always seems to happen when i need something, I am broke with nothing resembling a promising prospect anywhere on the horizon. WTF mate? My estimate is that i will need about five grand to make the move

So here we go again. I just moved back to what is the closest thing I have to a home town. It's a little weird being around family and... being alone I guess is the weirdest part. Yeah I'm one of those guys, I've never been single for more then a month or two of my entire adult life. And I guess. Somewhere along the way, playing the partner I lost some of the individuality that I valued and that made me valuable to others. But its good. Its a novel sensation, sleeping alone. I am starting to get used to it. I don't intend to get involved in anything but family and work for a good long while. I just have too much to do. Like rebuild my life fo

Wow i just read over some of my previous journal entries. Don't i sound just about emo? lol I guess that's because i have a bad habit of only writing when i'm depressed. It helps me clear my head. I am one of those people who think in a million directions all at once and once in a while its nice to write and force my mind into a linear flow.
Anyhoosters. Today is a good day. Not that anything particularly interesting happened. I woke up sick and have not improved but my outlook is positive. I have a few good friends and a very supportive family. and while i think they tend to underestimate me there hearts are in the right place and i love

definitely, I love this piece. I was looking for inspiration for a project I need to start. I just started a YT channel Confederation of Evil Geniuses. And I need to do some cover art. I want to do a team image featuring archetypal villains.

Honestly every artist thinks that we are not good enough but that is what drives us to improve. I have people tell me every day that i am talented and that they could never do the things I do. But it is a two way street. I don't think I could ever do what you do. I have tried my hand at Manga more times then I can count and I just cant wrap my head around it.
And as far as improvment goes, skill is like like punching a brick wall. it is uncomfortable and timeconsuming and sometimes it feels like you'll never get to the otherside and then suddenly BAM!!! breakthrough and something that seemed impossible for you is suddenly so easy you wonder how you ever had trouble with it. give you an example.

in three days. I read a book called drawing portraits from photographs by Lee Hammond and suddenly everything just clicked. I still have a LOOONG way to go before I get to where I want to be but art is not just what I do, It is who I am and I will probably be sketching on my death bed. lol
